Return Policy

Return Policy

At Maksiwa, we are dedicated to providing reliable woodworking machinery, parts, and accessories to professionals across North America. Our policies are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and quality assurance for every customer. Please read the sections below carefully before initiating a return or warranty claim.

All purchases made through authorized dealers or third-party retailers must be returned directly to the original point of purchase. Maksiwa cannot process returns for products purchased through a dealer or reseller; these must be handled with the retailer from whom the product was originally obtained.

Parts and accessories purchased directly from Maksiwa – through our www.partsmaksiwa.com, or by phone – may be returned within sixty (60) days of the purchase date. All items must be in their original packaging and in resalable condition. Defective or damaged parts will be evaluated by our customer service team. If a defect is confirmed to be caused by a manufacturing issue, Maksiwa will, at its discretion, repair or replace the item. Labor, installation, and shipping costs associated with replacements are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated in writing. Returns due to misuse, neglect, improper installation, or damage occurring after delivery will be subject to replacement costs, including all related shipping fees.

Machines

Coverage

All new Maksiwa woodworking machines sold directly or through authorized dealers are backed by a two-year limited warranty from the date of shipment. Machines purchased through the Maksiwa Outlet website, classified as open-box units, carry a one-year limited warranty. Both warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance conditions.

Machines purchased through dealers must be registered with Maksiwa within thirty (30) days of purchase to ensure full warranty coverage.

Exclusions

This limited warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear or consumable parts such as belts, bearings, and blades. It also does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, inadequate maintenance, improper cleaning, insufficient dust collection, or unauthorized repairs or modifications. Damage resulting from natural disasters, fire, flooding, or other external causes beyond our control is excluded.

Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser. It becomes void if the serial number has been removed, altered, or defaced, or if unauthorized parts or accessories are used. Maksiwa is not responsible for machines modified, altered, or serviced by unauthorized individuals or entities. Basic setup, alignment, and routine maintenance are the user’s responsibility, and machines must be operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines to remain eligible for warranty coverage.

Replacement

When a replacement part is required under warranty, the defective item must be returned to Maksiwa for inspection. Maksiwa may cover outbound shipping costs for approved warranty parts at its discretion. All warranty parts replacements are subject to Maksiwa’s discretion and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Technical support for installation or troubleshooting is available by phone, email, or video

Authorization

All returns must be authorized in advance by the Maksiwa Support Department and assigned a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Products returned without an RMA number will not be accepted. Returns must be completed within thirty (30) days of RMA issuance. Unapproved or unauthorized returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee and applicable shipping charges.

If a return is needed, please contact your authorized Maksiwa dealer to request the official return form and receive detailed instructions for completing your return. Customers must retain all original packaging materials to ensure safe transport. When possible, Maksiwa may provide a return label or specific shipping instructions with your replacement or service order.

Damage and Loss

Maksiwa assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or delays occurring during transit. All freight claims must be filed directly with the carrier. Claims for damaged or lost goods must be reported to Maksiwa within three (3) business days of delivery. Maksiwa is not responsible for damages or losses caused by freight carriers, mishandling, or any external factors outside of our control.

Limitation of Liability

Maksiwa shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of production, loss of profits, or personal injury arising from the use or inability to use any product. This limitation applies even if Maksiwa has been advised of the possibility of such losses.
